WHATSAPPThe New Brunswick Express Entry Labour Market Stream of the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) aims to target high-skilled foreign workers who are capable of contributing towards the growth of the province’s economy.
The New Brunswick Express Entry Labour Market Stream operates on an Expression of Interest (EoI) system. To be able to successfully submit the Expression of Interest under the Stream, the candidate must meet certain eligibility criteria. These are:
- An active Express Entry profile. The candidate must also meet the eligibility criteria for the Federal Skilled Worker(FSW) program
- Currently living and working in New Brunswick. The candidate will have to submit a letter of employment from the employer, along with the EOI
- Currently working in an occupation included in NOC Code 0, A or B. NOC code must be mentioned in the EoI
- A valid Canadian Work Permit
- Proficiency in English/French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 7 (CLB 7)
- Educational Credentials Assessment (ECA) showing education level equal to Canadian High School diploma
New Brunswick also often invites candidates directly from the federal Express Entry pool even if they have not submitted an Expression of Interest. They are selected on the basis of their eligibility as well as the labor market needs of the province. The candidates selected this way will receive a Letter of Interest from New Brunswick through their Express Entry account.
The invited candidates can submit the complete application for provincial nomination within 60 days. Upon obtaining provincial nomination from New Brunswick, an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points would be added to the total CRS score of the candidate, which, in effect guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent Express Entry draw.
