WHATSAPPThe Newfoundland and Labrador International Graduate Entrepreneur category aims to retain international graduates who have attended Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic by allowing them to create, co-own or manage a business in the province.
To be eligible under this category, the candidates must have at least one year experience in owning and actively operating their business in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Minimum requirements
- The candidate must have graduated or completed a program with a duration of at least two years from a public post-secondary institution
- The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in English/French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in all the four abilities: speaking, listening, reading and writing
- The candidate must have at least one year experience in actively managing and owning a business in Newfoundland and Labrador. They must hold a minimum one-third ownership in the business.
Interested candidates can apply to the program by submitting an Expression of Interest (EoI) to the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism of Newfoundland and Labrador. Selected candidates will receive an invitation to apply for provincial nomination. Along with the application, the candidates need to submit supporting documents, an Audit Report and a Business Continuity Plan. If selected, the candidate will have to attend an in-person interview.
