Alberta Immigration: Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) will be refused for these occupations
Posted on
The website of the Canada federal government has published a list of occupations which do not qualify for a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), while applying for immigration to Alberta. The website warns that the LMIA applications for these occupations will be refused.
Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)
Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document a Canadian employer may need while hiring a foreign worker. A positive LMIA means there is a need for a foreign worker to fill a particular job vacancy, as no Canadian worker is available to do that job. The foreign worker can apply for job once the employer gets the LMIA.
