With an aim to boost investment, the citizenship by investment programme in St Kitts and Nevis has recently launched a new fund, named the Sustainable Growth Fund. This fund is expected to be more affordable than the previous Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation fund. The citizenship by investment programme in St Kitts and Nevis is the first of its kind in the world.
According to Les Khan, CEO of the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Unit, the Sustainable Growth Fund also provides a strong investment opportunity for the potential economic citizens of the country.
The Sustainable Growth Fund became operational from the 2 April. The investment will be used for the development of sectors including healthcare, education, alternative energy, heritage, infrastructure, tourism and culture, climate change and resilience, and the promotion of indigenous entrepreneurship.
St Kitts and Nevis also has signed visa waiver agreements with Russia, India and Indonesia. Now the citizens of this twin-island country can travel to 140 countries without a visa. They include Germany, France, Holland, Italy and the United Kingdom.
The St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme recently received the Global Citizen Award for the ‘World’s Most Innovative Investment Immigration Programme. It also topped the Caribbean programme ranking in the 2018 Passport Index of Henley and Partners.
