WHATSAPPIn an Expression of Interest draw held on September 14, 2018, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued 432 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination.
Out of these, 200 Letters of Advice to Apply were issued to Manitoba Expression of Interest (EOI) pool candidates under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream. The selected candidates had a minimum score of 721 under the unique point grid of MPNP. Under this category, eligible temporary foreign workers and international graduates currently employed in Manitoba, who have a permanent job offer from a Manitoba employer can apply for provincial nomination.
Another 150 invitations were issued to candidates under the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream of MPNP. The minimum required score for these candidates was 604. The Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas category is for candidates with a strong connection to the province. This connection can be through friends or family, work experience or education in Manitoba or an Invitation to Apply issued by the MPNP. The work experience must include minimum of six months of recent work experience in an in-demand occupation. The candidates must also demonstrate language proficiency level demanded by his job type.
The rest of the 82 invitations were issued to candidates under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative of the Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas Stream. Under the initiative, MPNP conducts overseas recruitment missions where MPNP representatives conduct direct interviews with candidates and eligible ones are issued Letters of Advice of Apply.
All the candidates who have received invitations in the September 14 Expression of Interest draw shall apply for provincial nomination within 60 days using their online MPNP account. The candidates who successfully apply and obtain provincial nomination from Manitoba, can submit their application for permanent residence in Canada.
