WHATSAPPA total of 392 invitations to apply for provincial nomination to skilled workers were issued in the latest invitation round of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) that was held on September 28, 2018. Out of these, 191 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued to candidates belonging to the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. The candidates selected from this category were required to have a minimum score of 679 on the assessment grid of the MPNP.
In order to be considered under the Stream, a candidate must first submit an Expression of Interest. The eligible candidates will enter the Expression of Interest pool of the MPNP, where they will be ranked on the basis of the information provided in their Expression of Interest (EoI) profile. A score out of 1000 will be awarded to each candidate and the highest scoring candidates will be invited to apply for provincial nomination from Manitoba.
Another 201 LAAs were issued to candidates from Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream. The minimum required score for the candidate selected in this invitation round was 592. To be selected through this Stream, a candidate must have one of these:
-a close relative in Manitoba
-education or work experience in Manitoba
-Minimum six months of recent experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba
-Language proficiency
MPNP also issued 31 invitations to candidates selected through the Strategic Recruitment Initiatives of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. The minimum required score was 713. Under the Strategic Recruitment Initiatives of Manitoba, provincial representatives interview potential candidates and the eligible ones are issued LAAs in the subsequent EoI draws.
The candidates who have received an LAA shall submit a completed application for provincial nomination from Manitoba within 60 days. Those who obtain provincial nomination shall apply for permanent residence in Canada.
