In the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) draw held on December 13, the province invited 160 candidates of Express Entry-aligned French-speaking Skilled Worker Stream to apply for provincial nomination. The selected candidates have work experience in one of the 35 targeted occupations and they have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score ranging between 341 and 490. The draw selected candidates from those who had submitted their Express Entry profiles within the last one year. Besides, the candidates were also required to have language proficiency equal to a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in French and 6 in English.

Express Entry-aligned French-speaking Skilled Worker Stream
To be eligible under this stream, a candidate must have an active Express Entry profile. They must also demonstrate at least one year of full-time work experience or equivalent part-time work experience in a relevant occupation. Minimum educational qualification required is a bachelor’s degree and the minimum language proficiency is equal to CLB level 7 in French and CLB 6 in English. Further, they must also demonstrate that they have an intention to reside in the Province of Ontario.
