Canada’s Express Entry Draw 430 marks the first-ever category-based selection for Skilled Military Recruits. IRCC invited four candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 368, introducing a new pathway under the Express Entry system.
On July 23, 2026, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted Express Entry Draw, issuing 4 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under the newly introduced Skilled Military Recruits category.
The draw required a minimum express entry crs score of 368, making it the first targeted Express Entry round for military occupations. IRCC applied the tie-breaking rule of June 2, 2026, at 20:11:26 UTC. As a result, candidates with a CRS score of 368 who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations.

Express Entry Draw 430 Highlights

Full details of the Latest Express Entry draw are summarized below.

Draw Details Information
Draw Number #430
Date July 23, 2026
Category Skilled Military Recruits
Invitations Issued 4
Minimum CRS Score 368
Tie-Breaking Rule June 2, 2026, at 20:11:26 UTC

Canada Launches Its First Military Express Entry Category

This draw is significant because it represents Canada’s first-ever Express Entry category specifically targeting skilled military recruits. Although IRCC issued only four invitations, the draw set an initial benchmark for future Skilled Military Recruits category-based selections.

Because IRCC issued only four invitations, it is too early to identify long-term trends for the Skilled Military Recruits category. Future draws will provide a clearer picture of CRS score requirements and invitation patterns.

What Does the CRS Score of 368 Mean for Express Entry Draw 430?

Although the minimum CRS score of 368 is considerably lower than recent Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), and French-language draws, these scores should not be directly compared.

Each Express Entry category selects candidates from different applicant pools based on Canada’s labour market needs. Since the Skilled Military Recruits category has a much smaller eligible population, its CRS score reflects only those candidates who meet the specific eligibility requirements.

Eligible Military Occupations

According to Canada’s National Occupation Classification (NOC) 2021, the military category includes occupations such as:

  • Commissioned Officers of the Canadian Armed Forces (NOC 40042)
  • Specialized Members of the Canadian Armed Forces (NOC 42102)
  • Operations Members of the Canadian Armed Forces (NOC 43204)
  • Primary Combat Members of the Canadian Armed Forces (NOC 44200)

Applicants must not only hold an eligible job title but also demonstrate that they performed the primary duties associated with their claimed occupation and satisfy all applicable Express Entry eligibility requirements.

Four Consecutive Express Entry Draws This Week

The military draw followed three other Express Entry rounds conducted earlier in the week:

  • July 20: Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) – 511 ITAs
  • July 21: Canadian Experience Class (CEC) – 2,000 ITAs
  • July 22: French-language proficiency – 5,000 ITAs
  • July 23: Skilled Military Recruits – 4 ITAs

In total, IRCC issued 7,515 invitations across four consecutive draw days, demonstrating its continued use of multiple category-based selections to meet Canada’s evolving immigration priorities.

What This Means for Express Entry Candidates

The introduction of the Skilled Military Recruits category highlights IRCC’s continued expansion of category-based Express Entry draws to address Canada’s workforce needs. Although this first draw was exceptionally small, it signals new opportunities for eligible military professionals who meet Express Entry requirements.

Candidates with military experience should continue monitoring future Express Entry draws, as invitation numbers and CRS thresholds may change as this category develops.
