British Columbia PNP
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) aims to nominate those candidates, who wish to settle in the province of British Columbia, for permanent residence in Canada. The federal government allocates a limited number of nominations for British Columbia PNP every year. British Columbia PNP operates in partnership with the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Applying for permanent residence in Canada through British Columbia PNP involves two steps: Applying for nomination from British Columbia and applying for permanent residence upon obtaining the provincial nomination.
British Columbia PNP has three major immigration categories: Skills Immigration, Express Entry BC, Entrepreneur Immigration. Each of these categories also has a few immigration streams under them.
British Columbia PNP processes the applications for provincial nominations under Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC within two or three months. Applications for entrepreneur immigration are usually processed within six weeks.
