WHATSAPPManitoba PNP has issued 354 invitations to apply for provincial nomination to candidates belonging to its Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams. Out of the total number of invitations issued, 318 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued to candidates from the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream and the remaining 36 to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba candidates were required to have a minimum score of 500. The Skilled Workers Overseas candidates were selected through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative and the minimum required score was 617. Strategic Recruitment Initiatives are overseas recruitment missions regularly conducted by the representatives of Manitoba government, often in partnership with employers in the province.
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream is for eligible temporary foreign workers and international student graduates currently working in Manitoba. Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream has two pathways: Manitoba Work Experience Pathway and Manitoba Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway. An important pre-condition to be considered under this stream is that the candidate must have a permanent, full-time job offer from a Manitoba employer.
Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas stream also has two pathways: Manitoba Express Entry Pathway and Human Capital Pathway. The first is an enhanced pathway for eligible Express Entry pool candidates and the second pathway is aligned to the in-demand occupations list of Manitoba.
In order to be considered for provincial nomination from Manitoba under Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams, the candidates must first create an Expression of Interest profile with Manitoba PNP. Scores are awarded to candidates based on the information they provide on their profiles and the highest ranking candidates will be invited to apply for provincial nomination.
