The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, following the 2018’s Immigration Annual Report to the Parliament on the 31st of October, released details on the Canadian Government’s immigration plans for the year 2019 – 2021.
The new immigration plans released by IRCC replaces the already introduced three-year immigration plan during the fall of 2017. The plan will be revisited by the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship on each fall to tweak the plan to meet the country’s requirements for the forthcoming years.
The new immigration plan for the year 2019 – 2021 has been specifically designed & framed in a way that it contributes to the economic growth of the country by supporting the dynamic communities and thereby increasing & maintaining the border integrity and to preserve the safety of the Canadians.
What’s new is the minor target adjustments that come along with the new immigration plan announced by the IRCC. The Canadian Government has planned to increase admission to 350,000 in 2021 accounting to almost 1% of the total Canadian population.
A Brief Summary on The Target Adjustment Levels in 2019, 2020 & 2021: –
2019: The year 2018’s commitment to resettle an additional 1,000 vulnerable women & girls as refugees have been raised by 800.
