Canada witnessed a huge population growth as it has never seen in its history between the months of July and October this year. The population growth in the nine provinces was the result of the arrival of temporary & permanent residents within the provinces.
The government states that the Canadian population has increased by 183,715 during the month between July & October (the third quarter) and reports say that this there was no other large quarterly increase like this before since 1971, making this the largest.
The Canadian Government also said that the immigrants have a major contribution in this, counting up to 146,531 individuals arriving between the 1st of July & October. Like said, this is the largest international migration recorded ever, all due to the massive arrival of permanent & non-permanent residents. The population increase average between the months of July and October was 37,184 with the number of births 103,199 and the number of demises being 66,015.
Among all the other provinces where population growth witnessed a considerable increase, the Atlantic province Prince Edward Island was the one with the highest population growth, an increase of one per cent in population.
This is due to the constant efforts Prince Edward Island has been taking to attract skilled immigrants from all parts of the world and its Provincial Nominee Program which has played a considerable part in the population growth.
The immigration levels have helped to balance the after effects of interprovincial migration losses in provinces like PEI, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia & Quebec. The migration levels have also helped reduce the effects of higher deaths than births in provinces like Nova Scotia & New Brunswick.
The high Canadian Immigration level is due to the ideal living standards and the benefits an individual gets. To make your way to Canada, get in touch with us and get your eligibility to migrate to Canada checked for free!
