The International Skilled Worker (ISW) category of Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program(SINP) allows the province to nominate eligible candidates for permanent residence in Canada. The category has three sub-categories:
- International Skilled Worker – Saskatchewan Express Entry
- International Skilled Worker – Occupation In-Demand
- International Skilled Worker – Employment Offer
International Skilled Worker – Employment Offer
The Employment Offer sub-category of International Skilled Workers targets candidates who have already received a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.
However, SINP has to approve the job offer before the candidate can apply. Otherwise, the application will be rejected immediately. The employer who issues the job offer must first register on the SINP website, after which the position offered to the candidate will be assessed. If the position is approved, the employer will receive a Job Approval Letter, a copy of which has to be submitted along with the candidate’s application to the SINP.
Eligibility requirements
- If the candidate is submitting the application from inside Canada, they must be legally residing in the country
- They must have proficiency in English or French, the official languages of Canada, at a level equal to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 across all four language competencies (reading, writing, speaking, and listening). This must be proved with the language test results of a designated testing agency
- The candidate must have a permanent, full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer that is registered with the SINP. The position offered must be either in an occupation in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Matrix as Skill type 0 or Skill Level A or B, OR in a designated trade in Saskatchewan
- The candidate must have at least one year of paid work experience in the intended occupation, which must have been acquired within the past 10 years.
- Proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure, if the job offer is in a regulated occupation, which require mandatory (compulsory) certification or licensing
- Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100
