In the Arrima draw held on January 27, Quebec invited 322 skilled workers to apply for permanent selection. The candidates were invited under the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program(QSWP). To receive an invitation in the latest Arrima draw, the candidates were required to have created their profiles in the Arrima Expression of Interest system, had a minimum score of 647 points and a valid job offer outside the Montreal metropolitan area.
This draw is the second Arrima draw being held by Quebec in the year 2022, and so far, Quebec has issued a total of 834 invitations this year. The total number of candidates invited through Arrima draws last year was 3564.
Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program
The Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program allows the province to select candidates who can economically establish themselves in the province. This is a much sought after program among international graduates and skilled workers who want to move permanently to Quebec.
Candidates who receive invitation to apply for permanent selection in an Arrima draw may submit the complete application within 60 days. After submitting the application, usually it takes around six months to complete the processing. Then eligible candidates will receive a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ or Quebec Selection Certificate). With this they can apply for permanent residence in Canada.
