In the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw held on December 1, Manitoba invited 305 immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The invitations were issued to candidates under three immigration streams of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program(MPNP). Skilled Workers in Manitoba received 206 invitations and the minimum provincial score required for them was 775. International Education Stream candidates received 56 invitations. The remaining 43 invitations were issued to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative of Manitoba. The minimum provincial score required for them was 673.
Manitoba Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream
Skilled Workers in Manitoba selects candidates on the basis of the specific needs of Manitoba employers. Foreign trained workers with required skills are selected under this stream and they are nominated for permanent residence in Canada. Candidates with a strong attachment to Manitoba are prioritised under the stream.
It has two pathways, which are Manitoba Work Experience Pathway and Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway. Those who are currently working in Manitoba on temporary work permits may apply under this pathway, which targets temporary workers and international graduates in the province. Candidates need not be working in the In-Demand Occupations of Manitoba. Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway is for those applicants who have job offers from approved Manitoba employers.
Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream has a Canada Express Entry pathway and a direct provincial pathway. The Stream targets skilled workers with experience one of the In-demand Occupations of Manitoba. The Stream targets those candidates with close family connections, language proficiency, training and experience, which will help them find jobs easily in Manitoba.
Manitoba Express Entry Pathway
To be eligible under this pathway, the candidates must have an active Express Entry profile. They must also have skills, training and experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba pnp and also strong family connection to the province.
Human Capital Pathway
International workers with skills, training and experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba can apply under this pathway. However, the candidates must demonstrate that they have the potential to find employment as soon as they arrive in Manitoba.
International Education Stream
International Education Stream is for those candidates who have completed their higher education in one of Manitoba’s universities or colleges. It has three pathways – Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway and Student Entrepreneur Pathway.
