In the latest Express Entry draw on October 10, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates with French language proficiency. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for this draw was 444, specifically targeting candidates proficient in French. This draw is part of Canada’s ongoing effort to boost Francophone immigration outside of Quebec, in line with government initiatives to support French-speaking communities across the country.
This French language draw is part of a number of measures to address declining French-speaking populations in Canada, supported by funding, including through the Official Languages Action Plan 2023-2028.
Earlier, IRCC completed three notable Express Entry draws this week, inviting 3,113 candidates to apply for permanent residence through various streams.
