Canada bestows international students with a Post-Graduate Work Permit option with which foreign students can have the provision to work after completing their studies in Canada.
The validity of the Post-Graduate Work Permit can vary depending on the duration of the program taken by the candidate. However, a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 3 years of PGWP can be attained by the students who come to study in Canada.

If the minimum validity (1 year) of PGWP is not sufficient for a student, then he or she can work on increasing the PGWP by choosing an add-on program subsequent to the primarily chosen program of study. If the consolidated learning hours of both programs are close to 2 years, then the student can attain a PGWP for up to 3 years respectively in return for both programs.
