Scholarships to study in Australia

Australia Awards – Australia Awards are instituted with an aim to promote knowledge and education links between Australia and its neighbors. The scholarships offered by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT), the Department of Education and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) are brought together under Australia Awards.
Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarships for International Students – These merit-based scholarships are funded by the Australian government and offered to international postgraduate students from the Asia-Pacific region, Middle East, Europe and Americas.
Research Training Program (RTP) – Under the Research Training Program (RTP), postgraduate-level Australian scholarships are awarded to domestic and international students who pursue research degrees at a participating Australian university.
University-specific scholarships to study in Australia
Most of the universities in Australia provide scholarships for international students. Here are a few examples:
Flinders International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (FIPRS) – Flinders International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (FIPRS) are merit-based and are awarded to master’s and PhD research students.
La Trobe Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) – La Trobe Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) are for international students who study at La Trobe University in Melbourne. The scholarship is offered to excellent undergraduate and postgraduate students from outside Australia or New Zealand. Scholarship is given for a maximum of two semesters.
Melbourne Research Scholarships (MRS) – Melbourne Research Scholarships (MRS) are awarded to high-achieving students, both domestic and international, to undertake a master’s research program at the University of Melbourne.
Monash University International Scholarships for Excellence – These merit-based scholarships are awarded to international students at Monash University in Melbourne.
University of Sydney International Scholarships – There are a number of Australian scholarships for international undergraduate and postgraduate students studying at the University of Sydney. These include Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships, Dr Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarships, and Deans International Undergraduate Scholarship.
University of Western Australia International Postgraduate Research Scholarships – These research scholarships are for master’s and PhD students of the University of Western Australia. The scholarship covers tuition fees, a fortnightly stipend for living expenses, and health insurance.
Victoria University International Scholarships – Victoria University International Scholarships include a number of scholarships for international students. The VU International Postgraduate Research Scholarship is just one among them.
