Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that Canada has signed an agreement with India, which would allow unlimited number of flights between the two countries. Taking part in the Business 20 event held in Bali ahead of the G20 Summit, Trudeau said faster and easier movement of goods and people between the two countries will facilitate mutual trade and investment.
On the same day this announcement came, the second consular dialogue between India and Canada was held in New Delhi, in which both the countries discussed issued regarding the Indian community in Canada, which is the largest diaspora in the country. Representatives of both the countries assured their continued commitment for solving issues related to citizens including reducing delays in visas. Both the countries also reiterated their commitment for strengthening bilateral relations through people-to-people exchanges.
