Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program(MPNP) invited 275 candidates to apply for provincial nomination in the latest PNP draw. A majority of the invitations went to Skilled Workers in Manitoba candidates who received 238 invitations. They were required to have an Expression of Interest(EOI) score of at least 454 to receive the invitation. Six invitations went to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates with a minimum EOI score of 719. International Education Stream candidates received 31 invitations and they had no EOI score requirement. The number of Express Entry candidates who received invitations in the draw is 36.
If you want to receive an invitation to apply for provincial nomination from Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, you must first register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. This opens for you a chance to receive an invitation through either the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream or Skilled Workers Overseas stream. These two streams are designed in such a way to allow Manitoba select candidates who can meet the labour market needs of the province. Each of these Expression of Interest profiles is assessed on the basis of various eligibility factors such as age, education, work experience etc. and awarded a score out of 1000. Those with the highest scores are invited to apply for provincial nomination.
Skilled Workers Overseas candidates needs to demonstrate previous connections to the province in the form of close family members residing here, previous study or education experience in the province or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. However, it is not necessary for the candidate to be in Manitoba at the time of submitting the application.
To receive a nomination under Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, candidates need to have a full time job offer from a provincial employer. International graduates who have completed education at a higher education institution in Manitoba are eligible to receive an invitation under the International Education Stream, if they have in-demand skills.
