Alberta Express Entry stream

The Express Entry stream of Alberta allows the province to nominate eligible candidates from the Express Entry pool of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Candidates who have previous connections to the province in the form of study or work experience or close family members residing in the province have a better chance of obtaining an invitation. International graduates who have completed their study program from a Canadian post-secondary institution may also receive an invitation under the stream.

Alberta Express Entry stream also has an Accelerated Tech Pathway, under which candidates may be selected for expedited processing, provided they are currently working for or have a job offer with an tech-based industry employer of Alberta in an eligible occupation.

To be invited through Canada Express Entry stream, a candidate must receive a Notification of Interest from the AAIP. Once they receive such an NOI, they must email a copy of this letter to the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program and state that they are interested to apply to the AAIP. If they meet the minimum eligibility criteria, they will receive an email, inviting them to submit an application.
