In its weekly draw held on August 30, British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)’s Tech Pilot program issued 32 invitations to apply for provincial nomination. BC PNP Tech Pilot program invitations were sent to candidates with minimum one year of work experience in one of the 29 priority occupations of the program.
The invited Express Entry candidates, upon successful submission of the application for provincial nomination, will receive 600 additional CRS points. It will increase their chances for being invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent Express Entry draws. The Skills Immigration candidates who receive provincial nomination from British Columbia will have their applications for Canadian permanent residence processed outside the Express Entry system.

BC PNP Tech Pilot program:
Launched in 2017, BC PNP Tech Pilot Program aims to attract international skilled workers to meet the increasing demand for talent in the growing tech sector of British Columbia. Tech Pilot draws are conducted every week and candidates with a valid job offer from a Canadian employer in one of the 29 priority occupations of the program are invited. In order to be eligible to apply under BC PNP Tech Pilot program, both the candidate and the employer must meet certain requirements.
