The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program(OINP)draw held on July 27 invited 1031 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The candidates were invited through the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities(HCP) Stream under the OINP. All the invited candidates have work experience in one of the 18 targeted occupations, which include healthcare workers and managers. The Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of the invited candidates ranged between 458 and 467.

The candidates were required to have work experience of at least one year in one of the above occupations to receive an invitation.
The Human Capital Priorities Stream of Ontario allows persons with the required skills, work experience, language ability and education to live and work in the province. This stream is exclusively for Express Entry candidates and to be eligible under this stream, a candidate must meet the eligibility requirements under either the Canadian Experience Class or the Federal Skilled Worker Program. One cannot apply directly under the stream. OINP selects eligible candidates from the federal Express Entry pool and issues them a Notification of Interest. Those who have received a Notification of Interest may apply for a provincial nomination with the OINP within 45 days. If they are nominated by Ontario, they will have 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System score points added to their total CRS score.This would guarantee them an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
