33 candidates selected in November 11 Quebec Arrima draw

Quebec arrima draw

In the Arrima draw held on November 11, the Canadian province of Quebec invited 33 immigration candidates to apply for permanent selection. The candidates were selected by the the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) of Quebec from the Arrima pool. In order to enter the Arrima pool, a candidate must first submit an Expression of Interest.

The November 11 invitations targeted candidates who had a valid job offer from outside the Montreal Metropolitan area. The draw happens to be the second smallest Arrima draw held so far in 2021. So far this year, Quebec has invited 3256 candidates to apply for permanent selection through Arrima.

Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program

Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program is for skilled workers who want to settle in Quebec. International graduates and skilled workers can apply under this program. The candidates under the Program are assessed on the basis of various eligibility factors like language, skilled work experience and educational qualification. The eligible candidates enter the Arrima pool from which the candidates are selected in Arrima draws.

The candidates who have received invitations in the Arrima draw may apply for permanent selection within 60 days. The processing of the application is expected to be completed within six months. The candidate has to submit all the relevant forms and documents along with the application. The eligible candidates will receive a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ or Quebec Selection Certificate) with which, they can apply for permanent residence in Canada.

Quebec has immigration programs distinct from the federal programs of Canada. So the applicants are assessed on the basis of a different system. In 2022, Quebec is planning to admit between 49,500 to 52,500 immigrants across all immigration categories. Most of these newcomers will be accepted through the economic immigration programs of Quebec including the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) and the Québec experience program (PEQ). An additional 18,000 new immigrants will be admitted to compensate the low immigration levels in 2020 owing to COVID-19 pandemic. So it is expected that more than 70000 newcomers will be admitted to Quebec in 2022.
