PEI PNP Expression of Interest system

PEI PNP has conducted seven Expression of Interest draws so far this year. In all these draws, invitations have been issued to 922 candidates. Of these, 789 invitations have been issued through the Labour Impact/Express Entry streams while the remaining invitations have been issued to candidates from the Business Impact stream.
In 2018, the year when the Expression of Interest system was launched, Prince Edward Island issued a total of 1,446 invitations. Of these, 1,240 went to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates while the remaining 206 invites were issued to Business Impact candidates. PEI PNP Express Entry stream
Through the Express Entry stream, PEI PNP selects candidates from the Express Entry pool to nominate them for permanent residence in Canada. The candidates who receive provincial nomination would obtain 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points that would effectively guarantee them an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent Express Entry draw. The Express Entry stream of PEI PNP has two pathways, one that require a job offer and one that does not.
PEI PNP Labour Impact category
Labour Impact category has two streams–Skilled Worker Stream and Critical Worker Stream. Skilled Worker Stream is for skilled workers with an employment offer from a PEI employer. Critical Worker Stream aims to resolve labour shortages in the province and is open to foreign workers who are already in PEI with employment in specific critical demand occupations.
