The latest Saskatchewan Expression of Interest draw held on February 27 issued 576 invitations to apply (ITA) to Express Entry and Occupations In-demand candidates. The minimum score of invited candidates in both categories is 69.
Saskatchewan Expression of Interest
The Saskatchewan Expression of Interest system allows the province to invite immigration candidates capable of becoming economically established in the province to apply for a nomination. Those who wish to obtain a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan must first submit an Expression of Interest to Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program(SINP). Based on various eligibility factors such as age, education qualification, language proficiency and previous connection of the candidate to the province, each profile is ranked and awarded a score out 100 based on the unique Points Assessment Grid of SINP. The highest-scoring candidates receive invitations in the Saskatchewan Expression of Interest draws. Though a job offer is not mandatory for candidates to be eligible, they need to have minimum one year of work experience in a skilled occupation related to their field of study.
Saskatchewan Express Entry
In the Saskatchewan Expression of Interest draw held on February 27, the candidates belonging to the Express Entry sub-category of SINP received 301 invitations. In order to be considered for provincial nomination, Express Entry candidates must submit a separate Expression of Interest to the SINP. Those who receive provincial nomination from Saskatchewan will have additional 600 points added to their total CRS score, which guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent federal Express Entry draw.
Saskatchewan Occupations In-Demand
Those candidates who do not have an Express Entry profile may apply for a provincial nomination through the Occupations In-Demand sub-category. In the latest draw, 275 Occupations In-Demand candidates received Invitations to Apply.
