Who qualifies as a skilled immigrant?
According to IRCC, skilled immigrants under the Express Entry Program must have at least one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience. The experience should fall under the Canadian National Occupation Classification (NOC) types:
– Type 0: Managerial Occupations
– Type A: Professional Occupations
– Type B: Technical Occupations and Skilled Trades

What are the minimum points needed to be eligible for a PR visa as a Federal Skilled Worker?
To qualify as a Federal Skilled Worker, you must score at least 67 out of 100 points based on factors like age, education, work experience, and language skills. If your score is below 67, you’ll need to explore other visa options.
What are the eligibility requirements to apply for a PR visa as a Federal Skilled Worker?
To apply for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, you must:
– Have a full-time permanent job offer in Canada, or be a PhD student/graduate from a Canadian university within the past 12 months.
– Have at least one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience under NOC types 0, A, or B.
– Prove your language proficiency in English or French.
– Score a minimum of 67 out of 100 on the FSW points grid.
