The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) has released the details of the first seven draws held since the Alberta Express Entry Stream was launched in 2018. Express Entry candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 302 were selected in the draw.
Alberta Express Entry Stream
Alberta Express Entry Stream allows AINP to select candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of the province to invite to apply for provincial nomination. In order to be eligible, the candidates must have a minimum CRS score of 300. Another major requirement is that the candidate must be working in an occupation that supports Alberta’s economic development and diversification. The stream also gives priority to those who have connections with the province including a job offer from an Alberta employer or work experience in the province or a degree from a Canadian post-secondary institution or close relatives living in Alberta.
CRS score requirements for Alberta Express Entry Stream
Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 301 have been invited to apply for permanent residence under the Alberta Express Entry Stream. In the draw held on September 14, a total of 152 invitations were issued to Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 301. The candidates who obtain provincial nomination from Alberta will receive 600 additional CRS points. This would guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent Express Entry draw.
