April 22, 2020 – Ottawa, Canada – It’s announced that Canada is supporting international students by removing the restrictions in the part-time working hours of international students in Canada. In this time of crisis and the severe outbreak of COVID-19, every part of the world is focussing to prevent reaching the rock bottom. Canada, on concerning the welfare of international students in this tough time who are away from their home has cut off the restrictions in their part-time working hours.
It was known that an international student in Canada can work 20 hours a week for earnings and savings. But now, it’s really difficult for a student to manage his/her expenses by earning the 20 – hour wage. So, it’s music to international students residing in Canada who took a part-time job in essential domains like health care, the supply of food, critical infrastructure or supply of other critical goods.
Moreover, it’s essential in this time to serve the needy and also, several industries are under considerable pressure to provide service for the needy. The international students who are already present in Canada will be recognised for their service in meeting the challenges of the pandemic says the government. International students who are utmost trained in health care and ready to graduate are sought for their health care service to the public when it’s the eleventh hour.

One of the reasons for this temporary rule change is, as of the statistics more than 11,000 int’l students enrolled in health care programs in 2017 – 2018 which accounted for 4% of health care students at that time. These students would help to provide the service to the needy at this time of need. Moreover, it is expected that in the near future, many int’l students would be hired for healthcare and agricultural programs since it would be essential then.
