SINP Expression of Interest system

To receive an invitation under either the Express Entry or the Occupations In Demand subcategory of SINP, a candidate must first submit an Expression of Interest to the SINP. In the EoI, the candidates must demonstrate their willingness to settle in Saskatchewan and provide details about various eligibility factors such as age, education, language ability and previous connections to the province. Extra points are also awarded to candidates who can speak both English and French. Each candidate is assessed on the basis of these factors and awarded a score out of 100. The candidates with the highest scores are invited to apply for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan.

SINP Express Entry

The Express Entry subcategory of SINP is for candidates who have an Express Entry profile. The Express Entry system of Canada manages applications for immigration under the three major federal economic immigration programs, which are Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class. The Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan, will have 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points added to their total CRS score and that guarantees them an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent Express Entry draw.

SINP Occupations In-Demand

Those candidates who do not have an Express Entry profile may apply under the Occupations In-Demand sub-category of SINP. This sub-category targets candidates who have work experience in the occupations that have labour shortages in Saskatchewan.
