In the Provincial Nominee Program draw held on December 15, Manitoba invited 1030 candidates to apply for provincial nomination. It is the largest Manitoba PNP draw held in the past 17 months. The candidates were invited through the Skilled Workers Overseas stream of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program(MPNP). The invited candidates had a minimum provincial score of 600 points. Among the total number of invitations issued, 656 went to Express Entry candidates.
Skilled Worker Overseas Stream of Manitoba
The Skilled Worker Stream of Manitoba has two pathways- Express Entry category and a provincial Human Capital Pathway. Both of these target candidates who have work experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba.
The Express Entry category of Skilled Worker Overseas stream is for those candidates who have an active Express Entry profile. Other than skills, training and experience in one of the In-demand occupations of Manitoba, the candidates also need a strong family connection to the province.
The Human Capital Pathway is for those candidates who have the skills, training and experience in one of the In-Demand Occupations of Manitoba. They must also demonstrate that they have the potential to find employment in Manitoba as soon as they arrive in the province.
