In the latest Ontario Tech Draw held on December 19, the province invited 936 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. The candidates were invited through the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream. The candidates had Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score ranging between 484 and 490. The selected candidates were also those who had submitted their profiles within the past 12 months. They also had work experience in one of the following targeted occupations:
21211 – Data Scientists
21231 – Software engineers and designers
21230 – Computer systems developers and programmers
21232 – Software developers and programmers
21234 – Web developers and programmers
21233 – Web designers
21223 – Database analysts and data administrators
21311 – Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers
Those who have received the Notifications of Interest may submit the full application within 45 days.
Ontario Tech Draws
Ontario began to conduct tech-specific draw in July 2019. The purpose of these draws is to effectively address the labour shortages in the technology sector of the province.
Eligibility requirements for Ontario Express Entry: Human Capital Priorities Stream
-An active Express Entry profile
– Must have qualified for either Federal Skilled Worker Program(FSWP) or Canadian Experience Class(CEC).
– Minimum 1 year of full-time work experience obtained in the past 5 years
– The experience must be in an occupation classified under NOC TEER Category 0, 1, 2 or 3
– Educational qualification equal to Canadian bachelor degree or higher
-Language proficiency equal to CLB/NCLC level 7 in English or French
– Intention to settle in Ontario
– If residing in Canada, they should be residing with a legal status
– Proof of required settlement funds
-Required CRS score
