Demand to promote regional immigration programs of Canada

immigration program Canada

Immigration programs which bring more people to the smaller communities of Canada, such as the Atlantic Immigration Program and the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot would give the biggest boost for the economic development of the country, observed a report by the Conference Board of Canada. Pedro Antunes, the chief economist at the Conference Board of Canada revealed in a statement that immigration has played an important role in the economic growth of Canada. The statement further added that the immigration levels plan of the federal government is an opportunity for the government to focus on encouraging immigration outside of the major centres and utilise established programs that facilitate immigration to smaller centres or provinces and to northern and rural areas.Canada pnp finderThe Atlantic Immigration Program or the AIP and Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot(RNIP) encourages immigration to smaller and more remote communities in Canada. The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program of Canada is an employer-led program which aims to bring foreign workers to Atlantic Canada region, to fill job opportunities when there are no eligible Canadian candidates. The employers does not need Labour Market Impact Assessment(LMIA) to hire workers under the stream.  In the smaller communities and towns in Canada, there is a high demand for skilled workers and there are a high number of job opportunities. This will also help employers in smaller communities hire eligible workers. At the same time, the report has urged the local communities and businesses to market the benefits of utilising their immigration programmes.

By 2025, Canada will be welcoming around 500000 immigrants per year. This will give a great opportunity for immigration candidates to migrate to Canada. At the same time, it will reduce labour shortage in these regions, thus helping businesses thrive, and the Canadian government a return on investment in immigration programs. During the coming few years, a high number of immigrants will be admitted to Canada through regional immigration programs and provincial nominee programs.
