Recently, Canada’s Immigration Minister Sean Fraser announced a call for proposals to help the International Educated Healthcare Professionals(IEHPs) to work in the healthcare sector of Canada. The call for proposals was for helping to streamline and enabling IEHPs to gain skills, experience and local credentials so that the country could utilise their talents more effectively. The government will handle these proposals through the Foreign Credential Recognition Program(FCRP). It is a federal program which provides funding to governments and organizations to support the foreign credential recognition. Canada government has set aside $90 million for the chosen projects, through the FCRP program.
