CRS cut-off score comes down further in July 24 Express Entry draw

In the latest Express Entry draw held on July 24th, a total of 3600 candidates are set to receive Invitations to Apply(ITAs). The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off threshold was 459. This is the fourth consecutive Express Entry draw where the CRS cut-off score is witnessing a decrease. In the previous draw held on July 10, the cut-off score was 460 points. This is also for the first time the score is dropping below 460 since May this year.
The latest draw was also the second consecutive Express Entry draw to invite 3,600 candidates to apply for permanent residence in Canada. The number is 250 more than the number of ITAs issued in over 10 all-program draws held in the time-period between January 30 and June 26. The number of ITAs issued in these draws was 3350 each.
As in the previous draws, tie-break rule was applied in the latest Express Entry draw as well, the time stamp given being May 25, 2019 at 14:40:52 UTC. It means the candidates with a minimum CRS score of 459 and who submitted their profiles before the said date and time were prioritised in the Express Entry draw.
The July 24 draw is the 15th Express Entry draw of 2019 and 122nd since Express Entry was launched in 2015. With a higher immigration target set by Canada for the current year, it is expected that the CRS cut-off score would come down in the future Express Entry draws. The total number of ITAs issued by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada(IRCC)so far this year has touched 49000 with the latest draw.
The candidates who receive invitation in the July 24 draw can apply for permanent residence in Canada within 60 days. IRCC aims to process Express Entry applications within six months.
