Canada’s Immigration Minister Sean Fraser has announced that Canada is planning to launch a new program that would accelerate the process of turning temporary residents to permanent residents. In a media interview, he said they were aiming to provide the best pathway to PR program for temporary residents. The minister further made it clear that the new program would be different from the program for temporary workers which had been launched earlier. The minister exuded confidence that the new program would provide a clear path for those seeking permanent residence in Canada. This will give an advantage for Canadian work experience and Canadian education. Especially this is relevant in the context where Canada is planning to welcome 432000 newcomers this year.
