Ontario’s June 2025 OINP draws demonstrated several positive trends that reflect the province’s evolving immigration priorities. A remarkable 3,791 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued over just two days (June 3 and 6), showcasing a strong demand for skilled and semi-skilled workers across various sectors.

The International Student stream stood out with 2,574 ITAs, indicating Ontario’s strong intent to retain international graduates and integrate them into its workforce. Additionally, the draws showed strong support for regional immigration, with focused efforts on less-populated areas such as Northern Ontario, Eastern Ontario, and Greater Sudbury, helping to address local labor shortages and encourage regional economic development.

Healthcare clearly remains a top priority for Ontario, with 1,564 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) going to candidates in health-related occupations. This strong focus highlights the province’s commitment to strengthening its healthcare system by addressing critical workforce needs. In addition, Ontario’s use of specialized programs like the Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) and the Economic Mobility Pathways Project (EMPP) shows a forward-thinking and inclusive approach to immigration. These initiatives are designed to not only attract talent but also support economic growth in smaller and underserved communities through strategic and diverse immigration efforts.
