More than 3000 PNP invitations issued in June 2022

In June 2022, Canada Provincial Nominee Programs or PNP issued over 3000 invitations to apply for provincial nomination. The Provincial Nominee Programs provide an opportunity for Canadian provinces and territories to nominate candidates who can meet their labour market needs and economic priorities. The Provincial Nominee Program was introduced by Canada in 1998. The aim was to distribute the benefits of immigration evenly across the provinces and territories in Canada.
pnp-finderNow, many of the Canadian provinces such as Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Manitoba and Saskatchewan depend entirely on PNPs to meet their demographic and labour force needs. As per the Immigration Levels Plan of Canada for 2022 to 2024, Canada will be admitting as high as 93000 immigrants per year through PNPs by 2024. The candidates who are selected by PNPs and receive a provincial nomination will be able to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

Besides, all the Provincial Nominee Programs have at least one stream or category aligned to Federal Express Entry. The PNP invitations were issued to candidates who are nominated by a province will receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points. It would guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada. In June 2022 alone, Canada issued 1568 Express Entry invitations through PNP-specific Express Entry draws.
