In the latest Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program draw held on July 28, the province invited 354 immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The invitations were issued to candidates belonging to Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas and International Education Stream candidates. A total of 299 Skilled Workers in Manitoba candidates with a minimum provincial score of 633 points received invitations in the draw. International Education Stream candidates received 41 invitations. A total of 15 Skilled Worker Overseas candidates also received invitations through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The minimum provincial score required was 726.
Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas stream gives a chance for the overseas immigration candidates who want to settle in the province to obtain provincial nomination. It has a dedicated Canada Express Entry pathway and a direct provincial pathway. The stream targets international skilled workers with skills and training in one of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba. Those candidates who have close family connections, language proficiency, training and experience will be given priority under the stream of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
Manitoba Express Entry Pathway
To be eligible under this stream, the candidates must have an active Express Entry profile. Besides they must also have the skills, training and experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba, as well as a strong family connection to the province.
Human Capital Pathway
Human Capital pathway is for those candidates who have the skills, training and experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba. The candidates must also demonstrate that they have the potential to find employment soon after they arrive in Manitoba.
International Education Stream
International Education Stream of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program targets international graduates from Manitoba colleges and universities. Now it is not mandatory for candidates to have work experience of six months to apply under this stream. International Education Stream has three pathways under it,
1) Career Employment Pathway
2) Graduate Internship Pathway
3) Student Entrepreneur Pathway
Here’s three pathways in detail:
1) Career Employment Pathway
To be eligible under this pathway, a candidate must have completed a post-secondary course with duration of at least one year.
The application must be submitted within three years of completing the course.
2) Graduate Internship Pathway
This pathway is for those Masters and Doctoral degree holders who have completed Mitacs Accelerate or Elevate internships.
3) Student Entrepreneur Pathway
To be eligible under this pathway, a candidate must have completed a post-secondary course of at least two-year duration. They must be residing in Manitoba after graduate and should have at least six months of experience in operating a business.
