    Poland Work Permit

    Poland, being the ninth-largest economy in Europe is opening its doors for foreign immigrants looking to settle in the country. And it is true for the fact that immigration to Poland is worth it to cities such Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw and more!

    Poland immigration is rapidly becoming popular among various skilled professionals & semi-skilled individuals. Immigration to Poland by professionals from non-EU member states require a special type of work permit, in most cases, it is the National Visa D-type.

    Poland immigration for work is possible through five different types of work permits. However, the duration for which the work permit granted is fixed and for no longer than 3 years. The Voivode may extend it to 5 years on a special request.

    Type-A Foreigners are issued type-A work permits for Poland immigration if they serve a Polish employer operating within the territories of Poland.
    Type-B Immigration to Poland for foreigners on a type-B permit lasts for anywhere between 6 months to 12 months. Under this work permit, the employee must function within the management board.
    Type-C Foreigners are issued type-C permit for Poland immigration if they serve a non-Polish employer, but has been delegated for over 30 days to a facility being operated within Poland.
    Type-D Immigration to Poland for foreigners on a type-D permit is also possible if they are executing a particular service that is casual or temporary in nature.
    Type-E It is the rarest form of the work permit issued to foreigners and covers all other aspects of Poland immigration which does not fall under the type A-D work permits.

    The legal document allowing Poland immigration on a work permit is issued in three copies, two of which are directly transferred to the employer who is required to provide one copy to the original applicant and last copy retains with the Voivodship Office.

    The law in Poland accords protection against disproportionate wages. In recent times, the minimum wage for foreigners and the Poles is typically 2600 PLN gross, and the minimum hourly rate is 17 PLN gross. The top- most salaries in recent years went to foreigners working in managerial and IT positions. Even the foreign IT employees can achieve salaries of PLN 5000 or more. The automobile industry offers an average monthly salary of PLN 3421.90 gross.

    Types of Poland residence permit

    Apart from the Poland Work Visa types, there are alternatives to reach Poland such as the Temporary Residence Permit and Permanent Residence Permit

    1.Temporary Residence Permit

    If you wish to stay in Poland for more than 90 days, you are required to apply for a temporary residence permit. Poland immigration on a temporary residence permit is granted to foreigners for a maximum of 3 years.
    The following are the required documents to apply for Poland immigration on a temporary residence permit:

    • four up-to-date passport-sized photos
    • three copies of your valid passport
    • a work permit or a written statement from your employer
    • proof of health insurance
    • documents supporting your financial stability
    • documents confirming the cost of your residence

    2.Permanent Residence Permit

    For foreigners who have considerable economic, social ties with Poland can consider immigration to Poland on a permanent residence permit. A permanent residence permit is issued for an indefinite period whereas the residence card remains valid for 10 years. It means that it should be renewed every 10 years. While foreigners cannot take up work in another country, they are entitled to travel visa-free to other Schengen countries for up to 90 days in a 180-day period on Poland immigration visa.

    Poland immigration for family members of a temporary resident:

    You can bring your family members such as your spouse, dependent children to Poland if you are already on a residence permit.

    The following documents are needed to validate your request for bringing your family members:

    • 4 recent, colour photographs
    • 3 copies of a valid travel document
    • Proof of residence in Poland – e.g. rental agreement, agreement of lending for use, hotel booking
    • documents confirming the degree of relationship or kinship – e.g. civil register certificates: marriage certificate, birth certificate
    • proof of health insurance in Poland
    • proof of financial stability
