Vancouver Island University
Vancouver Island University was established in 1936 to teach automotive mechanics for small student groups in British Colombia, but not as Vancouver University. In 1969, the college was named as Malaspina college and evolved as Malaspina University college in the year 1988. This college is doing its exemplary work by serving the student community in educating them and creating more successful graduates.
In 2008, the college was renamed as Vancouver Island University and stands still. There are 3 satellite colleges and 1 main campus for this college. They are;
- Nanaimo Campus (Main Campus)
- Cowichan Campus
- Powell River Campus
- Parksville Qualicum Centre
