In the draw that held on July 11, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued 241 invitations for provincial nomination. The invitations were sent to skilled workers and graduates under the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC streams of BC PNP.
A total of 188 candidates have been invited under the Express Entry BC: Skilled Worker and Express Entry BC: International Graduate categories. If their application is successful, they will receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)
In order to apply for provincial nomination under British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), a candidate must first create an online profile and fill in a registration form. Profiles are assessed and scores are assigned based on factors including education and work experience. BC PNP has two major immigration streams–Skills Immigration that includes Express Entry British Columbia, and Entrepreneur Immigration.
The categories under Skills Immigration are:
–Skilled Worker category for candidates who have received a job offer in a skilled occupation
–Healthcare Professional category for health professionals who have received an eligible job offer in one of the 11 qualifying health occupations
–International Graduate category for candidates who have graduated from Canadian institution and have received job offer from a British Columbia employer
-International Post-Graduate Category for candidates with master’s or doctoral degrees in natural, applied, or health sciences from an educational institution in British Columbia. Job offer is not required.
-Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker Category for some entry-level or semi-skilled jobs in tourism/hospitality, food processing, or long-haul trucking, or for entry-level or semi-skilled positions in the Northeast Development Region of British Columbia
Express Entry British Columbia
Express Entry BC, aligned with the federal Express Entry system, allows candidates to receive priority processing of both their BC PNP application and if nominated, for permanent residence application as well.
