278 nurses who had an active Express Entry profile were invited to apply for provincial nomination by Nova Scotia on February 8. The candidates were invited through the Labour Market Priorities stream of Nova Scotia. To receive the invitation, the candidates had to have their primary occupation registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse. The National Occupation Classification (NOC) code of the candidates invited in the draw was 3012. They also had to have at least three years of work experience in their occupation.
Another requirement was language proficiency equal to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 9 or higher in English or French, in all the language abilities. They were also required to have a bachelor’s degree or completed a program of at least three years at a post-secondary institution.
Those who have received the invitation may submit the complete application before March 10. The eligible candidates will receive a provincial nomination from Nova Scotia and 600 CRS score points will be added to their total CRS score. This will guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
