Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream aims to fulfill the specific labour market needs of Manitoba employers. It selects foreign-trained workers with required skills and nominates them for permanent residence in Canada. The stream gives priority to candidates with a strong attachment to Manitoba. It has two pathways – Manitoba Work Experience Pathway and Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway. The Manitoba Work Experience Pathway is for those applicants who are currently working in Manitoba. The Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway is for applicants from overseas with job offers from approved Manitoba employers.
Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
Skilled Worker Overseas Stream has both a dedicated Canada Express Entry pathway and a direct provincial pathway. Manitoba Express Entry pathway is for those international candidates who are eligible under another MPNP stream and at the same time, meet Express Entry criteria and have an active Express Entry profile. Besides the candidates need to have skills, training and experience in one of the In-Demand Occupations of Manitoba as well as a strong family connection to the province. Human Capital Pathway is for international skilled workers with skills, training and experience in one of the In-demand Occupations of Manitoba. The candidates must also demonstrate their potential to find employment as soon as they arrive in Manitoba.
International Education Stream
The International Education Stream is for international graduates from Manitoba’s colleges and universities. Under the stream, it is not necessary for the candidates to work for six months in their field in order to apply for a nomination from Manitoba.
It has three pathways:
- Career Employment Pathway
- Graduate Internship Pathway
- Student Entrepreneur Pathway
