Canada Issues 3,300 Express Entry ITAs

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced the latest Express Entry draw, inviting 3,300 candidates to apply for permanent residence. The draw was held on August 27, 2024, for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

This draw marks the fifth CEC-targeted draw in 2024, bringing the total number of ITAs issued in CEC draws this year to 20,800.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required to be eligible for this draw was 507. This represents a slight decrease from the previous CEC draw, where the minimum CRS score was 509.

The CEC category is designed for skilled foreign workers who have already gained Canadian work experience. To be eligible, candidates must have at least one year of skilled Canadian work experience in the past three years. They must also meet the language requirements and other eligibility criteria.

The IRCC has been conducting regular Express Entry draws throughout the year to select candidates for permanent residence. The number of invitations issued in each draw varies depending on the number of eligible candidates and the government’s immigration targets.
