In the Express Entry draw held on July 8, Canada invited a total of 4500 Canadian Experience Class(CEC) candidates to apply for permanent residence. The candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of 369. This is the smallest CEC Express Entry draw since May 20.
A tie-break rule was applied in the draw and the time stamp given was June 10, 2021 at 22:46:37 UTC. It means the candidates who submitted their Express Entry profile after the said time were not included in the draw.
Express Entry draw 2021
So far this year, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada(IRCC) has invited twice the number of Express Entry candidates invited during the same period last year. The total number of Express Entry candidates who have received invitations so far this year is 93,842. Canada is aiming to invite 108500 candidates through Express Entry this year. The immigration authorities have taken the efforts to complete the application processing of invited candidates within six months, though at present, it takes longer to complete the processing.
Ever since the start of this year, Express Entry draws have been alternating between PNP draws and CEC draws. However, immigration experts think that Canada would soon resume all-program draws, as the country is scaling back border restrictions in the wake of improvement in COVID situation.
