A total of 635 provincial nominees received invitations to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the Express Entry draw held on September 1. The minimum required Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score in the draw was 764. The CRS score requirement is high as this is a PNP-only draw and all the provincial nominees have received 600 CRS score points in addition to their basic CRS score. So the basic CRS score of a candidate with a minimum score, who has received an invitation in the latest draw is as low as 164.
A tie-break rule was applied and the time stamp given was April 12, 2021 at 12:21:45 UTC. It means the draw prioritised those candidates who had submitted their profiles before the said date and time. The candidates who have received invitations in the draw may now submit the complete application for permanent residence in Canada within the next 60 days.
Ever since the start of 2021, federal Express Entry draws have been alternating between Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class. This is the 17th PNP-only Express Entry draw of 2021.
Compared to the same period last year, Express Entry invitations have doubled this year. It is all likely that the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is about to meet its annual immigration target of welcoming 108500 Express Entry candidates in 2021. A total of 106414 Express Entry candidates have received invitations to apply for permanent residence so far this year.
