CRS cut-off score comes down by 3 points in latest Express Entry draw

Canada PR applications

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off threshold came down by three points in the latest Express Entry draw held on June 26. A total of 3350 candidates were invited to apply for permanent residence in the draw and the minimum cut-off CRS score was 462. In the previous draw held on June 12, the cut-off score was 465 points.
In the draws held in the past one month, the CRS cut-off score has witnessed a gradual decrease. The minimum score required in the May 29 draw was 470. It means within one month, the CRS cut-off score threshold has come down by 8 points.
Tie-break rule was applied in the June 26 draw, with the time stamp given being May 11, 2019 at 17:40:54 UTC. It means among the candidates with CRS scores above 462, those who had submitted their Express Entry profiles before the said date and time were prioritized.
This is the 13th Express Entry draw to be held in 2019 so far. This is also the 120th draw since the Express Entry system was introduced by the Canada government in 2015. With the June 26 draw, the total number of Invitations to Apply issued by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has touched 41800. In all likelihood, 2019 will be another great year in the history of Express Entry system, with higher immigration targets set by Canada this year. CRS cut-off threshold is also likely to come down further this year.
The CRS cut-off score had shot up from 450 to 470 during the period between May 1 and May 29. The main reason is that no all-program draws were held during this period. But the CRS cut-off score has come down twice in a row after that period, both in the June 12 draw and in June 26 draw. A total of 3,350 candidates were invited to apply in each of these draws.
