Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program allows the province to select immigration candidates with the skills and experience to meet their labour market needs and nominate them for permanent residence in Canada. In order to receive an invitation to apply for provincial nomination from Manitoba, you need to register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. If you have successfully registered an Expression of Interest, you stand a chance to receive an invitation through either the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams of MPNP.
Each of these Expression of Interest profiles are assessed on the basis of various human capital factors and awarded a score out of 1000.
The Skilled Workers Overseas category need not be present in the province at the time of submitting the application. However, they need to demonstrate connections to the province in the form of close family ties, previous experience in the province and an invitation issued through one of the Strategic Recruitment Initiatives of Manitoba.
In order to receive an invitation under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category, you need to have a full-time job offer from a provincial employer.
International graduates who have completed their education from a Manitoba institution may receive an invitation under the International Education Stream, if they can demonstrate they have the in-demand skills.
Express Entry
If the Express Entry candidates who have received invitations in the latest draw receive a provincial nomination from Manitoba, they will have 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score points added to their total CRS score. This would guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.
