In the weekly British Columbia Tech Pilot draw held on August 1, BC PNP issued 31 invitations to apply for provincial nomination to 31 candidates. Candidates belonging to the categories– Skills Immigration-Skilled Worker, Skills Immigration-International Graduate, Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) Skilled Worker and EEBC International Graduate were invited to apply.
The minimum required British Columbia Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) score for candidates belonging to each of these categories was as follows:

The candidates were also required to have a job offer in one of the 29 key technology-related occupations.
British Columbia Tech Pilot scheme
British Columbia has a thriving technology sector, which generates around seven percent of the province’s GDP. The technology companies in the province are keen about employing skilled workers from across the world.
British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) launched the British Columbia Tech Pilot scheme in 2017. It aims to attract skilled workers and international graduates with skills needed for the technology sector of British Columbia. The Tech Pilot scheme was updated in June 2018 and extended till June 2019.
The Express Entry candidates who successfully apply for provincial nomination from British Columbia will receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The applications for permanent residence from the Skills Immigration candidates who have obtained British Columbia provincial nomination will be processed outside the Express Entry system.
In order to be considered for provincial nomination from British Columbia, a person must first create an online profile with the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) of BC PNP. After assessing the profile, BC PNP authorities will award a SIRS score based on various factors including education and work experience.
